Instrumental Offerings in Worship
The congregation of First Presbyterian Church supports a wide variety of musical offerings in worship!
Members who play instruments are always invited to connect with our Director of Music to make offerings and collaborate. Instrumentalists are frequently needed to accompany choral and handbell pieces.
Numerous community music ensembles have made offerings in worship here - for example, the Rochester Flute Choir plays for one or two Sundays a year, and there are many opportunities for this!
There is a long tradition of gathering volunteer and professional musicians together to comprise an orchestra for various events - especially, Lessons and Carols services in December, cantata or other larger work performances in the spring, and whenever more festive music is called for!
