Christian Education

The Mission of our christian education is to promote a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ through programs designed to help people of all ages.

 

Sunday School

Classes are available for children age three through senior high school.  All classes are lead by teaching teams.

Sunday School notes:

  • Children in PreK through Grade 5 meet most Sundays during the school year.
  • Some grades are combined depending upon current enrollment trends (example 2nd/3rd grade or K/1st)
  • Choir School is offered for  children age 3 and older.
  • Grade 8 is confirmation year, which is taught by Rev. Rowland.

Adults

  • Contemporary Issues — Held on Sundays at 9:45 am, this discussion class examines controversial issues and trends in today’s world.
  • Kerygma — Held on Sundays at 9:45 a.m., this adult Bible study is open to all who are interested.
  • Parenting Support Group meets one Sunday per month.
  • Wednesday Bible Study/discussion  — Our Wednesday night Bible Study and discussion is held most Wednesday during the program year (less often during the summer) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Jackson Lounge. Program details are published in the weekly bulletin and church newsletter. Additionally, a weekly email is sent to those wishing to receive it.  Child Care

Child care is provided every Sunday morning during worship and for special evening worship services.

  • Program year — Child care is available from 8:30 a.m.-noon.
  • Summer (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend) Available from 8:30-11:00 a.m. for children up to third grade.
  • During Sunday School hours — From 9:30-11:00 a.m., children over age 3 attend Sunday School while infants stay in the nursery.
